How do I sign my child in/out?
NOW staff will sign children in and out using the HiMama app. Parents and guardians will not come into the building, but a staff member will meet families at the door to conduct daily health screenings. After daily health screenings, staff will sign children in. Parents and guardians signed up for HiMama will receive a HiMama notification upon signing children in and out.
What is HiMama?
HiMama is an app that NOW uses for attendance and sending messages and updates to parents and guardians. We recommend that at least one parent or guardian from each family sign up for HiMama.
How do I apply for subsidy?
Call the Family Center of Washington County at:

Are my children required to wear masks?
We follow all CDC guidelines in regard to mask wearing. Currently, all children over the age of 3 and staff must wear masks at all times when at NOW. The only exceptions are when eating, or when outside and able to socially distance themselves.
What precautions are you taking for children with compromised immune systems?
We have taken every precaution and followed all CDC guidelines to provide the safest care possible this summer. In regards to children who are immunocompromised, however there is of course a risk in attending camp, and our recommendation is to proceed cautiously.
How many children are in each group?
Each group age 3 and up will have up to 18 children and two teachers.
Are campers allowed from out of state?
All NOW summer campers are Vermont residents or have completed a household 14 day quarantine period with no symptoms before attending camp.
We will NOT being following the snow days according to HUUSD. Should the weather warrant, I will reach out to local road crews to determine if we should open and consult with Moie.
Our decision will be posted to Brightwheel no later then 5:30am.
Should the school district close for a snow day and we remain open this is how it will work.
Our hours will be 7:30-3:00.
Your child needs to be currently enrolled in Prek, afterschool or outdoor education.
As we understand it, snow days will turn into remote learning days.
We can facilitate morning meetings and attendance check ins but nothing further. We will then go play in the snow!
In order to attend on a snow day you MUST send a brightwheel indicating such.

Board Meeting Minutes:
Finance: John Donaldson and Betsy Jondro. Responsibilities include creating budgets, IRS compliance and taxes and reporting finances to the Board.
Buildings/Grounds/Construction: Carrie Zeno and Matt Blood. Responsibilities include ongoing renovations, upkeep of grounds including handling mowing/plowing bids, and any rental agreements. Long term planning and going out for construction bids.
Community Connections and Development: Linda Levin, Rebecca Baruzzi and Roy Rose. Responsibilities include, community outreach, fundraising, grants and development of future events.
